The Forest Stewardship Plan for the Franklin Parker Preserve is nearing completion. Our goal is to manage the forests of the Preserve, through a combination of silviculture and prescribed fire, in a way that maintains all the natural forest types, so that characteristic Pine Barrens plant and animal communities can thrive. By implementing this Plan, we will not only safeguard these communities, but also reduce the risk of catastrophic wildfires in the area. We hope you will look it over and send us your comments. Click here to see a copy of the plan >>   Please email comments to Russell Juelg at Russell@njconservation.org.
