Any gift you make to New Jersey Conservation Foundation (NJCF) involves an element of planning. Giving is something you think about and do because you care about NJCF and its mission.

Planned Giving is a broad term that refers to the type of asset given (for example stock, cash, or land), the way a gift is made (for example bequests or annuities), or a deferred gift. Choosing the giving instrument that best suits your needs can enhance your financial well-being while ensuring NJCF’s long-term ability to preserve New Jersey’s natural resources for the benefit of all. Plus, your gift is 100% tax deductible!

There are several ways you can support NJCF with a planned gift:

Charitable Gift Annuity
NJCF, in conjunction with the Community Foundation of New Jersey, is now offering charitable gift annuities as an option to donors. A charitable gift annuity enables the donor to receive a life income while making a significant planned gift to NJCF. In choosing the charitable gift annuity, the donor makes an irrevocable gift to NJCF, through the Community Foundation of New Jersey, and in return, receives a fixed income for life based on the donor’s age at the time of the gift. The donor may also benefit from tax savings through a charitable gift deduction. A portion of annual annuity payments are also tax-free. NJCF receives the remaining principal of the gift upon the death of the beneficiary, ensuring the future preservation of New Jersey’s natural resources.

Bequests
Millions of Americans do not have a will. Unfortunately, upon the death of the individual, the state determines the disposition of his or her assets. Therefore, a will is critical to ensuring that the people and organizations you care about are the beneficiaries of your assets. There are several types of bequest gifts; no matter which is chosen, designating NJCF as a beneficiary will benefit the organization in the future and allow for continued preservation of New Jersey’s natural heritage. Deferred gifts to NJCF through a will are fully deductible for estate tax purposes. Please consider including New Jersey Conservation Foundation in your estate planning.
